All About the Club

The Original Uptown Comedy Club was a popular comedy club located in Harlem, New York City that operated from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s. The club was known for showcasing up-and-coming comedians, particularly those from African-American and Latinx backgrounds. Club founders and managers, Kevin "DotCom" Brown and Andre Brown both actively helped launch the careers of many notable performers, including Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan, and Martin Lawrence.
